The author analyzes social identities and their relationships with singular identities. She said: "The identity operating concepts refer to concepts such as belonging, self delimitation, self expression and self production. These methods elements are only meaningful when to invest reality.

Human being has, over time, asked questions about his identity which cannot be unique and immutable, it is reached by time, history, by a world in eternal change and increasingly complex. Those identity affirmations face each other. Identity struggles may cause a national community fracture. In addition, this identity search leads also to the one of reference: which can be humus, permitting to the subjects to say "we"?

The first identity level of a subject may be determined according to his origins. It would be a set identity to which the subject refers through rituals, ways of being, dressing, cooking, etc.

Religion and language also contribute on defining abstract communities, groups. As far as the social identity is concerned, it is raised in the place history.

In the analysis, three important moments can be identified:

  • The one of container, identities form: the Nation, the Community, and El Umma;

  • The one of contents, identity demonstrations: language, flag, national anthem, etc.

  • Stories which they play.

Societies give a meaning to these three moments according to time and space.
