The author, after discussing few concepts, such as unemployment and employment policy, talks about national policy and the labor market perspectives in Algeria.
For this purpose, he said there were three types of unemployment:

1 - Frictional unemployment or of prospecting;
2 - The cyclical unemployment;
3 - The structural and chronic unemployment.

And two categories of employment policies:

1 - Active policies;
2 - Passive policies.

The national employment policy is based on encouraging productive investment, valorizing human resources through training, resolving youth unemployment and modernizing the public employment service.

The employment promotion in Algeria is based on two axes:

1 - The wage;
2 - The firm

The job devices: we can talk about three generations:

1 - The Youth Employment Program (YEP) started in 1988;
2 - The Device of Youth Job Integration (DYJI) in 1990;
3 - The National Agency for Supporting Youth Employment (NASYE) in 1996 and the National Unemployment Insurance Fund (NUIF) in 2004.

The NASYE and NUIF tasks are: supporting, advising, accompanying young people and financing projects.
